1020 Curran

Welp, I have some time so we're going to do the rare back-to-back posts.  Since we've been in this house for almost three months, that means our former home has been on the market for almost three months.  And for some reason it still hasn't sold.  I know that it would have been a fast sell, but people must be crazy I thought it would sell pretty quick.  Here's why.

1. Great location.  Seriously, if you've ever lived in Kirkwood, you know it's a pretty wonderful place to live
2. It's right down the street from an elementary school
3. It's a nice neighborhood
4. There are TONS of kids in the neighborhood
5. It's an amazing house - I know I may be biased, but seriously, 4 bedrooms in Kirkwood? That's a pretty big deal.

Anyways, here are some pictures of the house now that we're out of it and it has been staged:

The front room

The back room

The back room again

The something room (we used it as an office, but I think it's technically listed for tax records as a 5th bedroom).

The Dining Room

The Master Bedroom.  This is only half of it.  I would honestly buy this house for this room alone.

The other half of the master.  It has a giant closet too.  Just sayin'.

Any takers?  Seriously, it's a great house, has a finished basement, nice yard.  Big inviting front porch, an equally large back deck, and TONS of closets and storage space.

Seriously, if you know anyone looking, please pass this along!

Outside the home

I'm working really hard to get this back up to date.  I know there will still be a few pictures after this post.  It's a lot harder to remember to take pictures of things when you are living in the house, versus coming over specifically to see what's new.

Here are a few more pictures!

At the end of July, Mom and Dad went on a much deserved vacation.  Brian was home most of the week, but he went on a little trip with his friends too.  Raina decided to be my protector, guarding the stairs.

The patio! It's actually two levels, which you'll be able to see in the photos to come.

They had to pour the layers one at a time.  This was after pouring the first layer.  It's concrete that is then stamped and dyed.

Olive watching over the workers.

The dirt pile slowly disappearing.

Dad and Jessica enjoying the patio.  The black stuff sticking out from the edge of the wall is for a flower bed eventually.

No more dirt pile.

As I said before, more pictures will come as they are taken.  We've been in the house almost three months (crazy!) and really look like we're moved in now.  There are always more pictures to be hung, and things to be rearranged though!

Thankfully we've finally gotten some rain in St. Louis, so now we're one step closer to actually having grass in our yard! It can't come soon enough.
